SPRING FLING!
Let's celebrate the first day of Spring together on March 20! Visit the friendly staff at Griffin's Greenhouses to enjoy a beautiful selection of flowering, seasonal plants and to enjoy complimentary lemonade and chocolate dipped strawberries.
If you choose to make a purchase on Saturday March 20 we will ask you to which local Horticultural Society you would like to offer your support: Peterborough, Lakefield, Omemee, Norwood or Bancroft (if your horticultural group is not present, then ask us to add it!). We will assign 10% of the pre-tax amount of your purchase to the garden group of your choice and they will receive the tally of all amounts at the end of the day as a gift card to use at their discretion. What a fun way to fling our support to these great groups!
Also, sign up for our Behind the Scenes Greenhouse Tour held on March 20, part of our Spring Fling event. Kyle will be your host and take you into the areas of the greenhouse that are normally private for staff. See how we fill our pots with soil, areas we grow plants, our watering systems and ask questions about our use of biological controls for pest managment. This is a FREE tour, but spaces are limited. Bloomin' Spring! - Friday February 26th, 1:00 p.m., or Saturday February 27, 1:00 p.m., $20.00 ($15.00 for Customer Card Holders).
Using a modern tin rectangular planter, participants will create a beautiful arrangement using tulips, hyacinths, mini daffodils and muscari plus accents of moss and dogwood. A great arrangement to chase the winter blahs! |

Reflections of Spring - Friday March 05th, 1:00 p.m., $23.00 ($18.00 for Customer Card Holders).
We’re using a new shape for our glass container this year - oval. Using marbles, rocks, pre-sprouted bulbs, moss and accent sticks participants will create a unique indoor arrangement. |

A new spin on a popular workshop! A wicker tea pot planter and a wicker cup and saucer planter are the bases for this indoor arrangement. The planters will be filled with soil and pre-sprouted bulbs and moss will be planted for weeks of bloom and colour. |

Children's Bird Nest Fun - Monday March 15th, 11:00 a.m., $10.00 (no discount for this value priced workshop).
All children (accompanied by a parent) will enjoy creating a spring masterpeice from a 5" twig nest planter using pre-sprouted bulbs, moss and branches. Add a ladybug for fun!

with a shamrock, wee spring bulbs accented with green moss and twigs. |

First Leaves of Spring - Tuesday March 23th, 1:00 p.m., $24.00 ($19.00 C.C.H).
Two rattan circle planters sit on a rattan leaf to create a beautiful centrepiece. In this workshop participants will add pre-sprouted bulbs, moss, ivy and twigs to the planters, and the centrepiece will burst with colour.

Sunny Succulents - Thursday March 25th, 1:00 p.m., $25.00 ($20.00 C.C.H).
A low, organic looking green and beige square dish will be filled with succulent soil and three or four funky succulents are planted - a popular workshop!

Create a beautiful Easter table centerpiece using a 7" square brown, textured tin shallow planter, mini hydrangea in shades of pink, mauve or blue, spring flowering bulbs, ivy, pussy willows and egg and bunny accents.

Choose from a wicker basket or wicker chair for this outdoor project. Both containers have a lovely WECLOME sign attached to greet your guests. Plant with pansies, bulbs, ivy and moss for a welcoming arrangement. |

Lemon-Lime Twist - Saturday April 24th, 1:00 p.m., $35.00 ($30.00 for C.C.H).
One lemon yellow and one lime green tin wine cooler buckets will be used as outdoor planters. Filled with sunny pansies, pre-sprouted bulbs, pussy willow and moss, they will be a nice twist on small porch pots. |
