Custom Planting - Pre-Ordered Containers

This unique service is offered to clients who contact us with their wishes prior to March 1st each year.  Using either our own or their containers, we plant a custom combination that meets their needs in both colour and location requirements. We consult with each client when the order is placed; often a photo is brought and this helps us to determine the plant choices for the current year’s planting. Clients are asked to pick up their planters when the weather warms for the season and before the end of May or additional charges for maintenance will apply.

Custom Planting - In-Season Planting

Clients are welcome to bring their containers to us to plant for our second round of Custom Planting which takes place after May 10 each year. After a brief consultation,  we use large sized annuals and/or perennials to create beautiful custom container arrangements. Customers are asked to pick up these containers one to two days
after they are planted by our staff. Delivery can be arranged for large sized plant or accent items.  Custom Planting continues throughout the fall and winter.

Garden Photography

Our award winning garden is available for garden photography during the months of  May - September.  Our garden has been used for numerous wedding photo shoots, as a setting for family or generational photography and as a location for a fashion catalogue backdrop. We work diligently to maintain the garden  and add new plant material or features each year. Currently it houses a beautiful cedar gazebo, a stone waterfall, two ponds linked together by a small rambling stream, a small stone bridge and  numerous benches and natural wooden seats for relaxation. 

You are invited to wander the garden at any point of your visit to Griffin’s Greenhouses and decide if our location suits your location needs.  We ask for a small fee for the use of the garden; it is refundable in the event of inclement weather. All proceeds made from the use of the garden are used to add to the plant material or structures of the garden area for the following year. 

Delivery charges may apply and occasionally a one to two day delay in delivery may occur.
