King Tut is the king of them all! An annual grass that grows 24-30″ tall, it has multiple arms each topped with whispy tops that are textural and interesting. King Tut grows as a thriller/centrepiece in large pots (24″ or larger) and may need support (how about a tomato cage) in windy locations. King Tut can be grown in a garden, but it is an annual that requires replacement each year.
The Tut family loves water and soggy roots. In combinations it will steal water from other plants, so it works well planted in combos with plants that like drier conditions, like Geraniums or Meezoo. Tuts can also be grown as water plants, submerged in a pond.
